Why Drinking Water Certified: WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme, UK) and KTW (Germany) certification ensures that all valve materials in contact with potable water are tested and approved for safe use. The EPDM liner is specifically formulated and tested to not leach harmful substances into drinking water. The epoxy coating on the cast iron body internals provides an additional barrier preventing iron contamination of the water supply.

What is the maximum temperature for drinking water service?
80°C. This covers all municipal water distribution temperatures. For higher temperature potable water applications (e.g., hot water systems), consult KSB for material compatibility at the specific temperature.
